Sorry for the radio silence. I’ve been out and about animating a big new thing for the big new Disney store in Time Square. It’s half awesome and half awful. If you’re ever in that neighborhood and happen to glance Disney-ward (not that I’d recommend it) you’ll be able to decide for yourself.

T-Rex Skulls
Everybody loves T-Rex, though the mix of tender admiration and outright fear can get a bit muddy at times. If you prefer your Tyrannosaurus dead, as opposed to roaming free during a tropical storm on a dinosaur island, you may care for these little T-Rex Skull pendants, cufflinks, earrings, and rings. They’re fancy and completely immune to the effects of chaos theory.
Remember the days of the enormous terrible lizards.
Continue readingStamps for the Store
I adore stylish branding and packaging. I don’t often indulge in pricey products, being a starving artist and all, but satiate my object lust through ffffound, Notcot, and Core77. Now that I’m operating my own store, I figure it’s my duty to pump out as many sleek, addictive, catchy, and above all awesome things into it as possible.
Continue readingThe Apatosaurus is in Stock and in Style
Ladies and gents! I’m pleased to announce that Apatosaurus cufflinks, earrings, pendants, and rings are available at Sleek and Destroy right this instant. Now this elegant, enormous sauropod can be yours in convenient jewelry size.

I’m releasing a new design up on Sleek and Destroy. If you’ve ever wanted to adorn your wrists with something meme-tastic, sensational, and entirely geeky they might just be your bag. If cufflinks aren’t quite your style, you might consider courage wolf earrings, pendants, or rings.
Continue readingEpic Movie Beaver
Many of you may not know this, but I spent a few years working in the movie FX industry. Specifically, I made animatronic props and movie monsters for films like AVP:Requiem, Snakes on a Plane, and Epic Movie. Interestingly a mini documentary just came out profiling the studio “Mark Rappaport’s Creature FX” and my beaver prop from Epic Movie’s featured about halfway through! It’s kind of exciting as I never actually saw Epic Movie and never had much of a chance to see the finished prop in action. Video after the jump.

While operating the laser cutters over at Eyebeam I came up with what I think to be my greatest idea yet. Who hasn’t looked at the world and thought “This needs a good riffing”? You can find my files on Thingiverse to cut out and enjoy.
Continue readingBlock Printing Pattern – Download and Remix
A few months back I got an incredible set of printing blocks from my friend Liz. She’d taken a trip to India, bargained hard, and snagged these incredibly lovely ornate printing blocks for just a few dollars.
I have a huge collection of patterns. I visit Lost and Taken and Repper fairly often and have built up quite a store of resources over the years. I feel like I should give something back.
Continue readingParametric Vase
Here’s a vase I printed out using my Parametric Vase Suite. Bre Pettis was instrumental in getting this one to print. He fooled around a bit with Skeinforge and found that the intersecting shapes generated by the Suite could be printed using a single strand wall thickness. I’m mightily impressed with the results.
